The short version
- ///We collect what you type into our two forms, and how you found a guide.
- ///We use it to reply, send the guide you asked for, and follow up only if you agree.
- ///We never sell it, show you ads, or track you across other websites.
- ///Ask us any time to see, correct or delete it.
This policy covers cytronicsco.com, run by Cytronics LLC, a cybersecurity engineering firm in Huntsville, Alabama ("Cytronics", "we", "us"). It explains what we collect when you visit the site, fill in our contact form or request one of our free guides, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you use the contact form: your name and email address, and if you choose to add them, your company, job title and phone number, plus your message.
When you request a free guide: your name, work email, company, job title, company size, industry, what prompted the request, and your consent. We also record which guide you asked for, when you requested and opened the download link, the page you came from, the page you landed on, and campaign tags in the link you followed (for example, utm_source).
Automatically, when you browse:
- Our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) to run and secure the site.
- We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics and measure page speed with Vercel Speed Insights. They use no cookies; Vercel identifies a visit with a hash of the request that resets every day, so you can't be followed from day to day or across sites.
- To stop abuse of our forms, we keep a one-way, salted hash of your IP address (never the address itself) for up to two days.
We don't ask for and don't want payment details, Social Security numbers, health information or other sensitive data. Please don't include them in a message.
How we use it
- To answer your message and discuss the work you're asking about.
- To email you the guide you requested, through a single-use link that expires after 24 hours.
- To send occasional follow-up about the interest you told us about, only if you ticked the consent box.
- To learn which guides are useful and how people find them.
- To keep the site and forms secure and free of spam and abuse.
- To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.
AI-assisted follow-up. For guide requests, we send an AI model from Anthropic only the details that describe the request, not you: your job title, company size, industry, what prompted the request and which guides you asked for. Your name, email address, phone number and company name are never sent to it. It suggests which of our services might fit and a note on how to follow up. A person at Cytronics reads every suggestion and decides what, if anything, to do; nothing about you is decided automatically. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models by default.
Emails from us
If you request a guide, we email you the download link. If you agreed to follow-up, we may write occasionally about the topic you told us about. There is no newsletter. Every follow-up tells you how to opt out: reply "unsubscribe" or email us, and we'll stop within 10 business days, as the federal CAN-SPAM Act requires. Opting out of follow-up doesn't delete your information; ask us if you want that too.
How long we keep it
- Guide download links expire 24 hours after they're sent.
- The hashed records we use to stop form abuse are deleted after two days.
- Guide requests are deleted automatically two years after your last request.
- Contact form messages, and the alerts we receive about new guide requests, are deleted two years after our last exchange with you.
- You can ask us to delete any of it sooner.
How we protect it
Security is our business, and we apply it here: the whole site is served only over encrypted HTTPS; guide requests are kept in a private database that only authorized Cytronics staff can reach; and our guides are delivered through single-use, expiring links rather than public files.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach of our systems ever exposes your personal information, we will notify you, and the Alabama Attorney General where required, as Alabama's Data Breach Notification Act (Ala. Code § 8-38-1 and following) and other applicable laws require.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you whether we hold information about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete it;
- stop sending you follow-up emails.
Email Marcus.Jefferson@cytronicsco.com or use our contact form. We may need to confirm it's really you before acting, and we'll respond within 45 days. We won't treat you differently for asking.
Some states give residents these rights by law, including Alabama's Personal Data Protection Act, which takes effect on May 1, 2027. We offer them to everyone already. We don't sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
Children
This site is for businesses and organizations and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Other things to know
We're based in the United States, and our service providers store and process information in the United States. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be handled here.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle information we already hold, we'll also post a notice on this page and, where we have your email address and the change affects you, email you before it takes effect.
